The special synthetic formulation of the lubricants provide protection against wear and corrosion from exposure to the elements we tend to subject our fishing tackle to, especially in saltwater.
The solvent-free lubricants can be used on all reels, rods and related fishing equipment. The grease is a long -life grease for use on all reels, rods and related fishing equipment.
The fish attractants that are added serve two purposes. First, it neutralizes the possibility that, should any of the lubricants get on your line or lure it will not deter the from striking. Secondly, the formula actually serves as a fish attractant.
The Pin Point Lubricant actually penetrated the lower layers of my braided fishing line and insulated it the way leader dope does an fly-tippets. The coils of line slipped off each other without hassle when I encountered a backlash. I also noticed that the braid did not bind into itself as it usually does after a backlash and continued to flow off the spool easily. Great Stuff, I thought.
I did not notice any seepage of the lubricants from any of the fittings or seems. This is very good because some of the oils and grease I have used in did just that.
Great Stuff!
